On Stage Interview Tips
The on stage question is not as tough as it might seem at that moment. Typically, in the Miss America system, they will ask you one question about your fact sheet and one question about your platform.
Dont be scared! Usually the stage lights are so bright you cannot see the audience anyways, so just pretend they are not even there.
Make sure once again, you let your personality shine through you. It is important to shine on stage and off.
Remember you are speaking to the audience, so project your voice, speak to the judges and speak to the audience. It is important to look confident.
When your waiting on stage with other girls it is important to remember that the judges, contestants, and audience have eyes on the stage at all times so even if you are not speaking you are still being watched. Remember to smile and not fidget with your hands.
Stand up straight and keep your neck up and don't worry your mouth muscles will be shaking from smiling but no the audience cannot see that even though you feel it. I promise!
